Unfortunately, I do not have any formal tutoring experience, but I am passionate about helping others learn and am eager to gain experience as a tutor. Having taken my N-Levels and achieved an EMB3 of 7 points, I understand some of the challenges students may face in their studies. I have often helped my friends understand difficult topics and prepare for their studies by collating notes, breaking down complex concepts, and adapting my explanations according to their individual learning styles. This support ultimately helped them perform well and gain admission to the Polytechnic Foundation Programme. I believe that patience and approachability are important when teaching, as every student learns differently. I am willing to adapt my teaching style to suit each student's needs and create a comfortable and supportive environment where they feel encouraged to ask questions, make mistakes, and learn at their own pace. I am also willing to prepare and organise my teaching materials according to the MOE syllabus and the student's specific learning needs, so that lessons remain relevant to what they are learning in school while reinforcing areas where they may need additional support. I am excited about the opportunity to develop my tutoring skills while helping students build greater confidence in their learning.

As a teacher, I know that every child learns differently. My approach is to first understand where your child is at, what they find difficult and how they learn best, and then work from there at a pace they are comfortable with. • 5 years of teaching experience with young learners. • Well-versed in the Singapore K1/K2–Primary 6 syllabus. • Primary 1–6 support, especially English and Mathematics. • Experience with phonics, reading, writing, grammar and comprehension. • Able to spot learning gaps and explain concepts in simpler ways. • Lessons adjusted to suit each child’s level, pace and personality. • Patient approach with clear explanations and guided practice. • Focused on helping children become more confident in their schoolwork.

Hi! I'm a Polytechnic student currently studying in the School of Informatics & IT, offering 1-to-1 Mathematics tuition for Primary 1–4 students. I have always enjoyed Mathematics and achieved A* for PSLE Mathematics, A1 for O-Level Mathematics, and A2 for O-Level Additional Mathematics. I am also a recipient of the Director's List. While I do not have formal tutoring experience yet, I have experience helping my younger sister with Mathematics and Additional Mathematics. I enjoy breaking down difficult concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps and helping students understand the reasoning behind their answers. My goal is to help students build a strong foundation and greater confidence in Mathematics, rather than simply memorising formulas and methods. I am patient and willing to adjust my teaching pace according to each student's needs. I can help with homework, revision, weak topics, word problems and exam preparation. I believe students learn better when they understand why a method works. I will first identify areas where the student is struggling, explain the concept using simple examples, and then work through practice questions together. I will gradually let the student attempt questions independently while guiding them when needed.

I’m an engineering student with a strong interest in programming and education. Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to teach and support students in subjects including Python, C, mathematics, and other programming-related modules. My teaching experience started with helping peers understand concepts they found challenging, particularly in programming. From there, I began offering tuition independently and have since worked with students at different levels and with different learning styles. I focus on breaking down complex concepts into simpler, practical steps, while making sure students understand the reasoning behind what they are learning rather than simply memorising solutions. More recently, I started a Python tutoring venture with my friend. Combining my engineering background with his business perspective, we aim to provide students with a more practical approach to learning programming and understanding how it can be applied beyond the classroom. Through our tutoring sessions, I’ve gained experience adapting my teaching style to individual students, identifying areas where they struggle, and building their confidence as they progress. Seeing students become more comfortable with concepts they initially found difficult has been one of the most rewarding parts of teaching. I’m continuing to develop my teaching experience and resources, with the goal of making programming more approachable and useful for students at all levels.

I am currently pursuing a Master of Technology in Software Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS), and I hold a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology. I achieved a perfect score of 170/170 in GRE Quantitative Reasoning. I offer tutoring in Mathematics, GRE Quantitative Reasoning, and programming, including Python, Java, C/C++, and web development. I focus on explaining concepts clearly, building strong problem-solving skills, and using practical examples to help students understand both the “why” and the “how”. Lessons can be tailored to each student's level and goals, whether they are learning programming from scratch, improving their mathematics, preparing for GRE Quant, or strengthening their problem-solving skills. I can teach in both English and Chinese.
